TGIF!!!!

Every other Friday Grandma has off from work so we usually make our way over there to see what she is up to. This Friday however we had plans for the fair! The kids and I have already been, but grandma didn't go yet. So once again we were back at the fair! We did the typical fair stuff once again! This time though the kids didn't do the rides. Christopher had to point out every ride we walked by that he didn't go on last time and tell me he needed to go on that one, but I had to explain to him we weren't doing rides this time. He didn't like that idea to much, but then got over it when I told him he could play more games. They played some games, ate some cotton candy, and walked around and looked. The kids also got to see the Pig races that we don't miss out on EVER! My darling little Christopher screamed as the pigs were racing "TAKE A PICTURE" so I let him take the camera out of my purse and this is what we got....We looked some more, bought some things, some more junk, and then off to Grandmas. The kids did puzzles, played candy land, played with play dough, and then we got pizza for dinner! That was basically the day! Now, just to add a little funny story. The kids both won fish last time we were at the fair....unfortunately they died (too bad..wink wink). Well like I said in a previous blog Christopher likes to tell me the toilet is talking to me....well today he told me the fish that we flushed were talking to me and he walked around the bathroom talking in a "fish" language...pretty funny, one for the book!
I was reading back on my blogs b/c I noticed I am favoring Christopher's stories these days....not that Lexi doesn't have any good ones, it is just that for the last few weeks Lexi and I have been bumping heads. My days are not filled with laughter from her, instead I seem to be putting soap in her mouth or putting her in her room just about every day. I thought that I had put a stop to her bad behavior, but today she managed to mess it all up. These days Lexi has turned into a little sassy mouth. I catch her saying things to me like who cares, or yes I can, or no I wont. Her other big favorite thing to do is LIE!!! This irks me. If you do something wrong just tell me, we will fix it, maybe go to time out and that's it. But Lexi lies, and then I put soap in her mouth for doing it. It happened a little over a week ago and then again today. I know they say girls are easier as babies than boys, but then get hardier as they get older, but I didn't think they meant that at the age of 4 1/2 I would be so concerned for her drama filled days. She doesn't take her punishments well and has a drama fit! When you punish Christopher he does his time out (by no means perfectly) with no crazy drama crying. Lexi just has a look of like oh my goodness how could you possibly put me, precious Lexi, in time out! She has started to ignore both her father and myself if we have punished her. Well we had another serious conversation (had one last week and it seemed to calm things down until today that is) and I hope this time it works! Well like I said TGIF, the weekend is here, and now time to spend with Dad!

Yes, it is that time of year again! The fair. I tell you what, every year I am so excited to go, and this year was no different! I LOVE their food! YUM!!!!! So typical Sunday, we just hung out inside with dad, and waited for the sun to go down! (Dad doesn't like the sun). And then off we went! We got there and just walked around a bit, and then decided to let the kids ride the rides! So for Lexi's experience... She enjoyed a variety of rides, and didn't mind trying most of them out...that was until.....The motorcycle ride...something about her being tied with a rope around her chest and then being jerked when the ride first started, was not her idea of fun...after this experience she was very selective on what she chose to ride. And now for my daring, courageous Mr. Christopher....He tends to be more like his mother ;) He enjoyed everyride. We would walk around even by the big rides and he would want to ride them all (Ring of Fire, Scorpion, etc.) There was one that he got on that took him a bit for surprise, I didn't think he would go on it...but he did.
Then it was off to walking, eating, games, more walking, more eating and more games. The kids each won a few prizes, and even each won their own fish. We ate your usual funnel cakes, fresh squeezed lemonade, pizza, corn dogs, etc. Then off to home we went. Dirty, tired, and exhausted!! Wait though, my fair days are not over...I have to do this all over again with my mother on Friday!!! ahhhhh!!!!!

Kids say the funniest things

I have been cracking up lately at the things Christopher says. He is quite the little comical man around here these days. Every morning without fail he yells "mommy" really loud...in a funny voice. Well, he is yelling it in the bathroom. He just needs to hear me say you can wipe it. Then sometimes I get a response, "I have diarrhea". That means I have to go in and wipe....Today I had to go in and wipe :) When I went in the water was running in the toilet, and he says to me, "Do you hear that"? I told him yes, and he told me the toilet was talking to me! What a funny little boy! One more thing the other day he said something that only his daddy would be proud of. When the kids hurt themselves dad always thinks it is funny to check the chair and floor or whatever it is they hurt themselves with and be like be careful guys you're going to break my floor. The kids don't ever get it and certainly don't think it is funny, and I have tried to explain it to him that it isn't funny, but he insists on doing it. Christopher was getting into the car and hit his knee on the side, and he was like oh man I almost broke the car. I laughed because I think he gets the joke now. Anyways I hadn't blogged for a few days so I thought I would share a funny story. Nothing to exciting going on around here.

Curiosity

My children are such curious creatures. They question and wonder about things I cant even imagine explaining to them at such a young age. Last week Lexi wanted to know where all the people come from. Then today Mr. Christopher was checking out my belly button and said "babies go in there". I chuckled and then just let it be, thinking to myself why was he thinking this now? Then a few brief seconds later he asked "how do babies go in there?" I smiled and paused, thinking what do I say, then I just said mommies and daddies make them. He liked that answer and left it be. Then his sister walked out of her room and he had to tell her "Lexi, daddy puts babies in there." Their little minds always seem to make me snicker. The picture.....Just thought I would share what my children found comical today.

Also I wanted to share this with whoever, I found these today and to much of my amazement, I did not know some of these things....maybe you did?

*Elephants are the only animals that can't jump.
*Women blink twice as often as men.
*It's physically impossible to lick your elbow. (Did you just try?)
*No English word rhymes with month.
*Our eyes remain the same size from birth, but our noses and ears keep growing.
*The shortest complete sentence in English is "Go."
*The average life span of a major league baseball is seven pitches

The Funnies

Oh what a day! Today was one of those days were I just needed to get a bunch of things done around the house. I had no time to play with my children today. I needed to start studying. I needed to cook and clean. I needed to get things done. My children did not like this. They fought all day long. They were so mean to each other. I dont know how many time out and spankings I had to hand out. I lost track. To top off the bad behavior, out of no where Lexi got a fever. 101 when I checked it and gave her some tylenol. Now it is gone, mysteriously it has left....hopefully it wont be back in the middle of the night. She seems fine, but Lexi is the fever child. They creep up on her out of no where, and come and go at all hours. Just when I thought the bad day was going to turn into a bad night, something happened they got the funnies.

They always know what to do or say to weezle their way out of time out. I was so frustrated at them that I sent them both to their room and told them not to come out until I said it was ok. They did indeed come out before I said, but this is how they looked when they came out. How could I not laugh. I decided to stop everything I was doing and we played a litttle while. I'll finish it when they go to bed.

Million Dollar Man

We made our way on over to the other end of town yesterday. I had to be at my mom's house to help her out with car troubles. We made dadda lunch and brought it to him and then waited for it to be 3:30 so we could meet the mechanic at my mom's house. Looks like everything was fine, just a really bad oil change. Then back to daddas work to finish up one last car. Henry and his dad detail a variety of cars. They do your typical toyota, nissan, lexus, etc. But then there is also your higher end vehicles, such as vipers, mercedes, porsches, etc. There is one man in particular that comes just about every day to have his vehicles detailed. Henry's dad typically does his cars. He gives him nice tips on top of the pay to clean it! Yesterday he stopped in to pick up his viper. He saw the kids and asked Henry's dad if they were his grand kids....of course he said yes, and then what happened next...if only, if only I could some day do this, be this way...He gave each of my children a 20 dollar bill! I couldn't believe it. They said thank you and gave the man a hug (dad made them do the hug part). I couldn't believe it. To have that much money to give a 3 and 4 year old 20 bucks for nothing! There is another man that gets his cars detailed there (not as high end as the other man) and he made a comment after the other gentleman left. He said, "Man I thought I did good by giving your kids a quarter yesterday." Ha, we all laughed, how funny! We told him it was okay, he wasn't a millionaire and we would let it pass this time ;) If only, if only I had this kind of money.

Short and Simple

Short and Simple, right to the point. Just for the record my blogs are mine. I will write as I feel in a way I feel to write. I will not ever be fake or lie or write things because I know others are reading to try and impress some or make myself something I am not. I am not a spiritual person and I do not on a daily basis quote the bible...occasional bible talk comes up here and there. Dont get me wrong I am not against people who are truly spiritual and enjoy bible quoting, it is just not my personal doing. But for this particular "blog" I wanted to quote one verse. Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. So I would like to be the Lords delight. In accomplishing this my blogs will be true and I will write as is.

Now for the day....Just a typical Sunday around here. Got up, made pancakes, went to the flea market (had Jose with us, first time he went). We got lunch, bought our fruit, and then off we went. We usually stop over at Henry's family's house, and today was no exception. We stopped at the store first, bought some steaks, and cooked meat on the grill. Well the boys did, I sat at the computer :) About 7 oclock rolled around. We went home, cleaned the kids up, put pjs on, and then watched some t.v. Then it was 9 and off to bed the kids went! Time for lost now! That was the day, nothing out of the ordinary. Short and simple!
